Taking information from children under 18 can cause distress to the child and the parents.

The Registrar will generally not attempt to obtain information from a child under 18 years about any of the parents' child support issues. The Registrar will also generally not accept any written or verbal statements from a child about any of the parents' child support issues, nor discuss the parents' child support issues with a child.
