1.1.P.140 Protected information

Definition

Protected information is any one of the following:

  • information about a person that is or was held in the records of the DSS or Services Australia
  • information about a person obtained by an officer under the FA law that is or was held in the records of the ATO or Medicare Australia
  • information about a person obtained by an officer under the FA law that was held in the records of the Health Insurance Commission, or
  • information to the effect that there is no information about a person held in the records of an agency.
