4.13.1.20 CCMS - Informal Enrolment

Informal enrolment

Note: Informal enrolments only apply to services operating under the CCMS.

Informal enrolments are used for sessions of care provided to families who do not have CRNs, have CRNs but their CCB eligibility has not been tested, or who have not provided their CRNs to the service. Informal enrolments do not require any link to CCB eligibility.

Individuals will be notified of their CRNs by letter when they claim CCB from Centrelink.

If a service creates an informal enrolment for a family that is not claiming CCB, the service will be required to 'formalise' the enrolment (1.1.E.25) when requested by the family. This could occur, for example, if a family decides later that they do want to claim CCB as fee reductions, or will claim CCB as a lump sum after the end of the financial year.

Where a lump sum claim is lodged by an individual with an informal enrolment, they will need to provide their CRNs to their service and ask the service to formalise (4.13.1.10) their enrolment.
