4.2.4.140 Claim action 14 - ACO cannot make bereavement claim

Is a letter required?

Yes.

Content of the letter

Advise the ACO (1.1.A.80) that it cannot make an effective (1.1.E.10) bereavement claim (1.1.B.20) under any circumstances.

Only an individual is eligible to make a bereavement claim:

  • in substitution for another individual (1.1.I.90) who has died, or
  • for an FTB child who has died.
