4.4.9 Notices of reassessment

Notices of reassessment

Whenever FTB entitlement (1.1.E.30) is reassessed, Centrelink must advise an individual of the reassessment. Notices of reassessment for rate reduction, rate increase or cancellation notices are produced by Centrelink.

Legislative requirements

The following table summarises the legislative requirements notices of reassessment must meet.

The notice must ā€¦ FA(Admin)Act reference
be in writing section 222 and section 224
have an electronic or paper copy kept on the physical file -
state the effect of the reassessment, and section 32(1)
quote the individual's review and appeal rights under FA(Admin)Act Part 5. section 32(1)
