1.1.C.100 CA (child) HCC only

Definition

For the purposes of CA (child), a CA (child) HCC is a dependent child under the age of 16 years who has a disability or medical condition that does not qualify a carer for the CA payment but does require at least 14 hours a week more care because of the disability or medical condition than a child without a disability.

Where a child qualifies for the CA (child) HCC before the child turns 16 years of age, the HCC remains valid up to and including the date the child turns 16 years and 3 months of age.
