1.1.D.80 Dependent child (YA)

Definition

For the purposes of YA and the YA parental means test (1.1.P.45), a dependent child is a young person who is aged:

under 16, or
at least 16, and
- has NOT reached maximum age for YA (3.2.3.10)
- is NOT independent (3.2.5.10), and
- the young person is NOT receiving CP, JSP, Austudy, SpB or DSP.
