1.1.P.40 Parental income test (YA)

Definition

For the purposes of YA, the parental income test is a test which applies to all dependent YA recipients, UNLESS a parent of the young person:

  • is receiving (1.1.R.55) a pension, benefit or allowance
  • is receiving a payment under the Farm Household Support Act 2014, OR
  • is receiving ABSTUDY living allowance.
