10.1.5.60 Overlapping Periods

Overlapping periods Australia

Some people may continue to pay contributions to an agreement country's system after they have become Australian residents, or return to the other country for a temporary period. When this happens periods of contributions and periods as an Australian resident can overlap.

Agreements have provisions that allow any overlapping periods to be counted once only by each country.
