10.21.6 Requirement to Claim a Benefit from Switzerland

Requirement to claim a benefit from Switzerland

The Agreement with Switzerland does not contain special provisions to make it compulsory for people claiming Australian benefits under the Agreement to also claim a benefit from Switzerland. However, all claimants under the Agreement are required to take reasonable action to claim any entitlement from overseas, including Switzerland, as are people who claim autonomously. This requirement is covered by CFP legislation explained in 7.3.1.
