5.1.10.10 CEA - current rates

History

Clean energy advance (CEA) payments to eligible government payment recipients ceased on 31 December 2013.

Historical rates can be found in 5.2.9.10.

The CEA was paid to qualified recipients of the following payments:

  • adult pensioners, including BVA and CP recipients
  • seniors supplement
  • parenting payments
  • adult allowances
  • DSP under 21
  • youth allowance
  • Austudy, and
  • special benefit.

The CEA was paid until clean energy supplement (CES) payments commenced (3.15.2).

From 20 September 2014 the ES replaced the CES. From 20 March 2017, the ES is closed to new CSHC holders. Refer to 3.15.2.30 for more details.
