Visa Subclass 070 Bridging (Removal Pending) Visa

This visa subclass came into effect on 11 May 2005.

A bridging visa subclass 070 may be issued to a person found not to be a refugee and in detention for extended periods because of a variety of reasons. The Minister responsible for immigration must be satisfied that the person's removal from Australia is not reasonably practicable at the time.
