Definition

Under the National Redress Scheme, an individual can apply for a review of the original determination (the outcome of the application process). The outcome of this review is called the review determination.

A review determination can effect one of the following outcomes:

  • varying the original determination (the outcome of the application is changed)
  • setting the original determination aside and substituting a new determination (the outcome of the application is changed).
