1.1.D.100 Designated law enforcement officer

Definition

Designated law enforcement officer, in relation to New South Wales, Victoria, Western Australia, South Australia, Tasmania or the Northern Territory, means a member of the police force of the state or territory; or a person appointed to a position for the purpose of being trained as a member of the police force of that state or territory; or a person who has the powers and duties of a member of the police force of that state or territory.

This includes a police reservist, a police recruit, a police cadet, a junior constable, a police medical officer, a special constable, an ancillary constable or a protective services officer.
