1.1.M.10 Maximum DAPP period, maximum DAPP period start day, maximum DAPP period end day

Definition

A payability determination (1.1.P.60) advising that DAPP is payable to a person for a child must specify the period for which DAPP is payable in the determination. This period is the person's 'DAPP period' (1.1.D.30). The person's DAPP period must be the same as, or within, the maximum DAPP period for the child.

The maximum DAPP period for a child is the period that starts on the maximum DAPP period start day, and ends on the maximum DAPP period end day.

The 'maximum DAPP period start day' for a child is the later of the following days:

  • the day the child was born,
  • the claimant's nominated start date.

The 'maximum DAPP period end day' for a child is the earlier of the following days:

  • the day that is 13 days after the maximum DAPP period start day,
  • the day before the child's first birthday.
