1.1.N.30 Nominee

Definition

A nominee means a correspondence nominee (1.1.C.160) or a payment nominee (1.1.P.80).

A nominee may be appointed as both a correspondence and payment nominee for the same person but a nominee cannot be appointed unless the person nominated has consented in writing and the principal's wishes have been taken into account.

Principal, in relation to a nominee, means the person in relation to whom the nominee was appointed.
