1.1.A.50 Agency collect

Definition

In an agency collect arrangement Services Australia is responsible for collecting and transferring the amount of child support (1.1.C.60) that is payable for a child support case (1.1.C.80).

Where the person who applied for child support is the payee (1.1.P.30), agency collect is the default arrangement that applies when the liability starts unless the payee elects for a private collection (1.1.P.110) arrangement.

Where the person who applied for child support is the payer (1.1.P.40), private collection is the default arrangement that applies when the liability starts unless the payee elects for an agency collect arrangement.

When Services Australia receives a payment from or on behalf of a payer, that amount will be disbursed to the payee in accordance with the disbursement (1.1.D.60) cycle rules in the CSRC Act.
