1.1.P.60 Pension PP (single) maximum basic amount

Definition

The pension parenting payment (PP) (single) maximum basic amount is used as a measure of whether a person is assessed to pay the fixed annual rate (1.1.F.10) of child support (1.1.C.60). A description of PP is available at SS Guide 1.2.4.10.

The pension PP (single) maximum basic amount is the sum of:

  • maximum basic rate of PP (single) – the amount that would have been a person’s maximum basic rate under Module B of the Pension PP (Single) Rate Calculator if the person was receiving PP under the SSAct, and
  • basic pension supplement (single) - the amount that would have been the person’s pension supplement under Module BA of the Pension PP (Single) Rate Calculator if the person was receiving PP under that Act.

This figure is calculated on an annual basis on 1 January.
