1.1.D.100 Dependent YA recipient, independent YA recipient (YA)

Definition: dependent YA recipient

For the purposes of YA, a dependent YA recipient is a recipient who:

  • does not satisfy the YA independence criteria, AND
  • whose entitlement is parentally means tested (1.1.P.45).

Definition: independent YA recipient

For the purposes of YA, an independent YA recipient is a recipient who:

  • satisfies the YA independence criteria, AND
  • whose entitlement is NOT parentally means tested.
