1.1.E.30 Educational, vocational & on-the-job training (DSP)
This definition applies only to those DSP recipients whose start date on DSP is before 11 May 2005 (220.127.116.11). Pre-1 July 2006 DSP qualification rules, including the 30 hour rule, are used when reviewing these recipients.
Educational, vocational or on-the-job training does not include programs designed specifically for people with physical, intellectual or psychiatric impairments.
Mainstream labour market programs are considered to be training for the purposes of these provisions.
Mainstream training programs that accommodate people with disabilities through the provision of aids such as recording devices, monitors or other equipment or environmental modifications, or making reasonable adjustments such as allowing unscheduled breaks or allowing the course to be completed at each participant's own pace, are considered to be training for the purposes of these provisions.
