10.10.11.20 Lodgement of Appeals - Agreement with Portugal

Lodgement of appeals

All appeal documents, whether for an Australian or Portuguese payment, may be lodged in Australia or Portugal.

The date of lodgement of an appeal in Portugal is deemed to be the date of lodgement in Australia.

Appeals by people paid under the Agreement can be lodged with Centrelink in Australia or with the Competent Institution in Portugal.

When an appeal has to be lodged within a specified period of time, provided it is lodged in either Portugal or Australia within that time, it is considered to be lodged on time.
