10.17.7.20 Embargoes on Arrears of Croatian Benefits

Embargoes

Article 18 of the Agreement with Croatia contains embargo provisions. This means any overpayment of Australian benefit following the grant of a Croatian benefit could be recovered from the arrears of a Croatian benefit before it is paid to the recipient. Centrelink International Services is responsible for liaising with Croatia and making the necessary arrangements.
