10.23.7.20 Embargoes on Arrears of Greek Benefits

Embargoes

Article 16 of the Agreement contains bilateral embargo provisions. This means that any overpayment of Australian benefit following the grant of Greek benefit can be withheld from any arrears of Greek benefit before it is paid to the recipient, and vice versa. Centrelink International Services is responsible for liaising with Greece and making the necessary arrangements.
