Termination of the Agreement with Malta

Article 20 of the Agreement with Malta covers what happens should the Agreement terminate. The Agreement remains in force for 12 months following the date on which either Australia or Malta advises the other through diplomatic channels that they intend to terminate the Agreement.

Should the Agreement terminate, it will continue to apply to those people who were being paid, or had lodged a claim and were entitled at the time.
