10.8.4.10 Who Can Lodge Claims under the Agreement with the Netherlands

Who can claim

The Agreement with the Netherlands contains all the claim lodgement provisions discussed in 10.1.4 Claiming Payments Using an Agreement.

Article 12 of the Agreement with the Netherlands covers claim lodgement and allows:

  • residents of Australia and the Netherlands to lodge claims for Australian benefits if they are in the Netherlands, Australia or a third country with which Australia has an agreement covering claim lodgement (excluding the Agreement with New Zealand, the Agreement with Denmark and the Agreement with the USA), and
  • residents of a third country with which Australia has an agreement covering claim lodgement (excluding the Agreement with New Zealand, the Agreement with Denmark and the Agreement with the USA) to lodge claims for Australian benefits under the Agreement if they are in Australia, the Netherlands or those third countries.
