Disbursement of residual funds against an existing debt

If a person owes an amount to the Commonwealth, the delegate may offset the whole or part of the balance of the person's income management account against the whole or part of the debt amount.

Note: The action can only be taken with the agreement of the person, and, particularly with large amounts, should be undertaken with care and regard for the person's priority needs.
