Review of decision to make deductions from a person's relevant welfare payments under SS(Admin)Act Part 3B Division 5 Subdivision B

A person can request review of a decision to make deductions from the person's relevant welfare payment (11.3.4), category I welfare payments. However, under the SS(Admin)Act Part 3B Division 5 Subdivision B, the delegate has no discretion whether or not to make deductions. In addition, the social security law expressly sets out the percentage to be deducted and the payments that the deductions may be made from.
