5.2.6.110 ISB Historical Rates

History

ISB was a 2012-13 Budget measure intended to assist with cost of living pressures. It came into effect in September 2013 and ceased on 31 December 2016.

Qualifying payments included NSA, SA, YA, Austudy, ABSTUDY Living Allowance, SpB and PP.

ISB was also paid under the Farm Household Support Act 2014, as well as under the VCES and MRCA Education and Training Scheme.

Indexation

ISB was indexed to the CPI twice annually, in March and September, from September 2013.

Timing of payments

The ISB was paid in a maximum of 2 instalments in a calendar year on or after 20 March and 20 September, if the recipient qualified on the respective test day.
