6.2.7.20 RAA reviews

Summary

RAA reviews are conducted when a change in circumstance affecting payment of RAA is notified.

Example: When members of a couple separate.

Reviews are also conducted when qualification for RAA CANNOT be determined during the initial consideration. These reviews need to take place no later than 6 months after the date of initial consideration. The review's purpose is to determine if the person now qualifies for RAA. Therefore, it should be carried out even if the person initially indicated they did not intend to make their usual place of residence in the RAA specified area.
