8.7.3.40 Bundaberg & Hervey Bay

Overview

Bundaberg and Hervey Bay commenced Cashless Debit Card arrangements on 21 December 2018. The program is currently scheduled to operate until 31 December 2022.

Anyone whose usual place of residence was in the Bundaberg and Hervey Bay area, as at 21 December 2018, or who moves into the Bundaberg and Hervey Bay area after this time, is under the age of 36 years and receives JSP, YA (job seeker), PPS or PPP will become a program participant unless they are exempted (8.7.4.15).

Once a person is a program participant, they will remain on the program, even if they move out of the program area, until the person turns 36 years of age.

A person can volunteer to remain on the program once they turn 36 years of age or can volunteer join the program at any time if they receive an eligible trigger payment (8.7.2.30).

Bundaberg & Hervey Bay

The Bundaberg and Hervey Bay program area is defined under SS(Admin)Act subsection 124PD(1).

The Bundaberg and Hervey Bay program area means the area within the boundaries of the Division (within the meaning of the Commonwealth Electoral Act 1918) of Hinkler, as those boundaries were in force on 31 May 2018. As at 31 May 2018, this includes the townships of Aldershot, Bargara, Elliott Heads, Woodgate, Booyal, Burrum Heads, Torbanlea, Toogoom, Howard, Childers, Burnett Heads and River Heads.
