1.1.L.20 Lone institution

Definition

For the purposes of the National Redress Scheme, a lone institution is a non-government institution, which is not defunct (1.1.D.20) and not a member of a participating group (1.1.P.10).

There are 2 types of lone institutions:

  • incorporated lone institution - a lone institution that is a legal person
  • unincorporated lone institution - a lone institution that is not a legal person.
