1.1.P.40 Production period

Definition

For the purposes of the National Redress Scheme, a production period is the timeframe for a person or a participating institution (1.1.P.20) to give documentation or information to the Operator (1.1.O.30) of the National Redress Scheme.

The production period is generally 8 weeks from when the information is requested. If the Operator considers an application urgent, the production period is 4 weeks from when the information is requested.

A person or participating institution may also request an extension to the production period. For example, a participating institution may need more time to access its records.
