1.1.W.10 Within scope
Definition
For the purposes of the National Redress Scheme, for abuse to be considered within the scope of the Scheme:
- it must have occurred when the person was a child
- it must have occurred either
- inside a participating State
- inside a Territory
- outside of Australia
- it must have occurred before the Scheme start day (1 July 2018).
The NRS Rules may also describe whether abuse of a person is within scope, or is not in scope of the Scheme.
