1.1.T.100 Transitioning care arrangements

Definition

A person who is a secondary or tertiary claimant for PLP in exceptional circumstances (1.1.E.100) can be eligible for PLP on a day despite performing paid work if:

  • if the person is a secondary claimant
    • the child has stopped being in the care of the primary claimant, and
    • Centrelink is satisfied that the day is within a period that is reasonable in the circumstances for the secondary claimant to make arrangements for work and care for the child
  • if the person is a tertiary claimant
    • the child has stopped being in the care of the secondary claimant, and
    • Centrelink is satisfied that the day is within a period that is reasonable in the circumstances for the tertiary claimant to make arrangements for work and care for the child.
