8.7.1.30 Cashless Debit Card

Description

The Cashless Debit Card is a debit card issued by the financial institution that works like any other bank card. It will access the welfare restricted bank account (8.7.2.50) which holds the restricted portion (8.7.2.20) of a participant's restrictable payments (8.7.2.10). It cannot be used to buy alcohol, gambling or to withdraw cash.

Additionally, it cannot be used to purchase cash-like products, such as gift cards, where these products could be used to buy alcohol or gambling services.
