1.1.S.380 Substantial assistance (MOB)

Definition

For the purposes of MOB, substantial assistance means greater assistance than a recipient might reasonably expect on a casual basis from a member of the public or transport staff.

Example: It is more than just:

  • determining the location of a train or bus stop
  • determining when to get off, or
  • ensuring that a train or bus waits a little longer.
