5 Use & disclosure of information about the Scheme

Introduction

Information collected for the purposes of the National Redress Scheme may be protected information. This means that this information cannot be collected, recorded, disclosed or used, unless the NRSAct allows this. For example, information a person provides in their application for redress is protected. Penalties apply if any person or institution gains access or shares protected information they are not allowed to.
