1.1.E.40 Employee

Definition

For the purposes of the PPLAct, 'employee' has its ordinary meaning and includes a person who is usually such an employee and does not include a person on a vocational placement (1.1.V.30).

The PPL Rules extended the provisions of the PPLAct that relate to making an employer determination to people who are in a similar relationship as that between an employer and employee, such as defence force members and law enforcement officers.
