An applicant must advise the department if the child receives DVA DOP under the VEA Part II or IV.

An applicant who qualifies for both payments can select which payment they want to receive.

If an applicant chooses to receive DOP from this department, a delegate must tell the applicant that the DVA pension may be more advantageous to them.

Example: The DVA double orphan payment or medical treatment provisions may be higher.
