1.1.W.10 Waiver of a debt

Definition

For the purposes of the PPL scheme, Centrelink may waive the Commonwealth's right to recover the whole or part of a debt under certain circumstances. When a debt is waived it is extinguished and the Commonwealth cannot pursue recovery at a later time.
