1.1.I.10 Independent Decision Maker

Definition

For the purposes of the National Redress Scheme, an Independent Decision Maker is a person engaged to assist the Operator in making determinations on applications for redress under section 29 and section 75 of the NRSAct.

Before engaging a person as an Independent Decision Maker, the Operator must consult with participating States and Territories.
