1.1.A.120 Australian resident
Definition
The term 'Australian resident' has the same meaning as in SSAct section 7.
An Australian resident is a person who:
- resides in Australia, and
- is one of the following
- an Australian citizen, or
- the holder of a permanent visa, or
- an SCV holder who is a protected SCV holder.
Note: From 1 January 2019, a NARWP applies to PLP and DAPP. There are a number of exemptions from the NARWP, and situations where a NARWP does not apply (2.2.4.30).
