1.1.N.20 Nominated start date

Definition

A primary claim for PLP in relation to the maximum PPL period for a child or a claim for DAPP must state a specified date (the nominated start day) as the date on which the claimant wants the PPL period or DAPP period to start.

Before a payability determination is made on the primary claim for PLP in relation to the maximum PPL period for a child or a claim for DAPP, the claimant may change his or her nominated start day by notifying Centrelink of a new nominated start day.

After a payability determination is made on the primary claim for PLP in relation to the maximum PPL period for the child or claim for DAPP, the claimant may only change his or her nominated start day by notifying Centrelink of the new nominated start day, where this occurs before the previously nominated start date. The new nominated start date must be a date that is on or after the day the person notifies Centrelink of the change.
