1.1.N.30 Nominee

Definition

A nominee is a person appointed by an individual (the principal (1.1.P.260)) to act on their behalf for social security purposes.

There are two types of nominees; a correspondence nominee (1.1.C.160) and a payment nominee (1.1.P.80). A nominee may be appointed as both a correspondence and payment nominee for the same person.
