12.1.6 Disbursement of enhanced income management funds when a person ceases to be subject to enhanced income management

People no longer subject to enhanced income management

Where a person ceases to be subject to the enhanced income management regime, the financial institution will close the BasicsCard bank account and disburse any remaining funds to the individual within 91 days.

This includes where a BasicsCard bank account was held by a person who has died.
