3.1.1 Child support assessments

Context

The Registrar makes child support assessments (Part 2) under the CSA Act. These assessments require one or both parents to pay child support for a child to the other parent or non-parent carer.

Section 17(2) of the CSRC Act provides that a liability arising under a child support assessment (made under the CSA Act) is a registrable maintenance liability.
