2.1.3 Immunisation & health check requirements

Summary

In addition to meeting the eligibility provisions for FTB (2.2) and CCS (2.6), individuals with an FTB child must meet additional requirements as described below.

From 1 July 2018, immunisation requirements apply to FTB Part A children aged under 20 years. Where a child does not meet the immunisation requirements (2.1.3.10), the FTB child rate will be reduced for each day during an FTB rate reduction period (1.1.F.58). Immunisation requirements must also be met for an individual to receive CCS for the child (2.1.3.20).

An individual who receives FTB Part A and the individual or their partner receives an income support payment, and has a child turning 4 years old during the income year, must meet health check requirements. Where a child does not meet the health check requirements (2.1.3.50), the FTB child rate will be reduced for each day during an FTB rate reduction period.
