2.8.2 ACCS (grandparent)

Introduction

ACCS (grandparent) is an additional subsidy that provides financial assistance to assist with the costs of child care for eligible grandparents on income support who are the principal carers of their grandchildren.

The subsidy is equal to the actual fee charged (up to 120% of the CCS rate cap (1.1.H.20)) for up to 100 hours per fortnight. Grandparent principal carers on income support (1.1.I.50) do not have to meet the CCS activity test requirements.

This section explains the eligibility criteria for ACCS (grandparent).
