3.4.5 HEAS - qualification & payability

Introduction

This section explains the qualification and payability provisions for the HEAS (known as the PLS prior to 1 January 2022). Except where otherwise stated, the material refers to the CURRENT scheme, NOT the scheme that operated before 10 July 1996 (which at that time was known as the PLS). Information about the pre-July 1996 scheme is addressed in a topic at the end of this section.
