10.11.11.20 Lodgement of Appeals - Agreement with Austria

Lodgement of appeals

All appeal documents, whether for Australian or Austrian benefits, may be lodged in Australia or Austria.

The date of lodgement of an appeal in Austria is deemed to be the date of lodgement in Australia.

Appeals by people paid under the Agreement can be lodged with Centrelink in Australia or with the Competent Institution in Austria.

When an appeal must be lodged within a specified period of time, provided it is lodged with a relevant specified authority in either Austria or Australia within that time, it is considered to be lodged on time.
